CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia senior midfielder Danielle Colaprico (Freehold, N.J.) was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 3 Women’s Soccer Team, announced Thursday by the Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). It was the second consecutive year that Colaprico has received the honor.

As a first-team all-district selection, Colaprico is now eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.

Colaprico, a psychology major, has started all 17 of the Cavaliers’ games this season. She is leads the ACC in assists with 14, tying the Virginia single-season record. She has also scored five goals this season and ranks fifth in the league in scoring with 24 points. Her 39 career assists rank second in school history.

To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, student athletes must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.

The third-ranked Cavaliers (16-1, 8-1 ACC) conclude the regular season Saturday night as they host Pittsburgh. Game time at Klöckner Stadium is 7 p.m.
