- Virginia is now 9-22-1 all-time against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.
- David Watford wore No. 17 to honor WR Miles Gooch who had a season-ending knee injury against North Carolina.
- David Watford makes his first career start at wide receiver.
- Virginia Tech’s 433 yards of total offense is the most by any of UVa’s opponents in 2014. Virginia Tech was only the second FBS program in 2014 to amass over 400 yards of total offense.

- With 70 rushing yards Kevin Parks finishes his career No. 5 all-time in career rushing at UVa with 3,219 career yards, passing No. 5 Wali Lundy (3,191).
- With two field goals, Ian Frye moves to No. 2 all-time at UVa for made field goals in a season with 22.
- Taquan Mizzell with a career-long 54 reception in the first half.
Virginia Defensive Player Notes
- David Dean snatched his first career interception in the second quarter and recorded three yards for the touchdown.
- It was UVa’s fourth defensive touchdown of the season (three INTs, one fumble return).
- It was the first interception by a UVa defensive lineman since Eli Harold at Florida State this year.
- Quin Blanding recorded his first career sack in the second quarter.
- With 14 tackles, Blanding finishes the season with 213 and ranked No. 1 all-time at UVa among freshman tacklers, passing Ahmad Brooks’ (117) 2003 season.
