CHARLOTTESVILLE – Virginia women’s soccer senior midfielder Danielle Colaprico (Freehold, N.J.) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Scholar All-American Team Wednesday. Colaprico was named to the first team for the second-consecutive season.

Colaprico, the 2014 ACC Midfielder of the Year, started every game this season for the Cavaliers as they reached the NCAA College Cup final. She had a career-high six goals and led the ACC with 19 assists, setting the Virginia single-season assist record. A second-team NSCAA All-American, she was a semifinalist for the 2014 MAC Hermann Trophy. She ended her career as the Virginia record holder in career assists (44) and appearances (100).

Colaprico, a psychology major with a 3.45 grade point average, was also a second-team Capital One Academic All-American this season. To be eligible for NSCAA Scholar All-America recognition, a player must start over 50 percent of their team’s games and have a cumulative grade-point average over 3.30.
