OAK RIDGE, Tenn.–The No. 2 Virginia rowing team swept five races on the final day of the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational Sunday morning (March 15) on Melton Hill Lake.

“We had great racing by all of our boats this weekend,” UVa head coach Kevin Sauer said. “I think we found out that if we keep pushing and improving each and every day that we can be very competitive this spring. Thanks to the University of Louisville for organizing and hosting a great regatta.”

The Cavaliers’ Varsity Eight (time of 5:54.253), Second Varsity Eight (6:02.583) and Third Varsity Eight (6:14.429) all defeated crews from No. 18 Louisville and Oklahoma.
