Virginia Men Finish NCAA Championships

IOWA CITY, Iowa–The Virginia men’s swimming and diving team concluded action at the NCAA Championships Saturday (March 28) at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center.
The Cavaliers finished in 33rd place with eight points. Texas won with 528 points, followed by California (399), Michigan (312), USC (278) and Florida (248).
Senior JB Kolod (Pittsburgh, Pa.) concluded his Cavalier career, finishing 18th on platform with a score of 357.85, while junior Yannick Kaeser (Mumpf, Switzerland) placed 23rd in the 200 breast in 1:54.44.
Kolod finishes his career with four top-16 finishes, including UVa’s top NCAA diving finish ever, which was seventh on 3-meter in 2014. He also placed 10th on platform in 2014, 10th on 3-meter Friday and 12th on 3-meter in 2013.
