CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Virginia-George Washington men’s soccer match, scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 29) at Klöckner Stadium, has been cancelled because of a forecast for heavy rain and thunderstorms this evening. The game will not be rescheduled.
Fans with tickets for the George Washington match may exchange their tickets in advance for a General Admission ticket to any other regular-season home men’s or women’s soccer match by calling the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 542-8821 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or bring their ticket stubs to the gate for General Admission seating at any remaining regular-season home men’s or women’s soccer match, subject to seat availability at the time of arrival.
Virginia next plays at 7 p.m. Friday (Oct. 2) when Louisville comes to Klöckner Stadium for an ACC match. Friday is Youth Soccer Night at Klöckner Stadium. All youth soccer teams, family and friends can purchase tickets for $4 (tickets must be purchased in advance). The SOCA team with the highest attendance will receive free admission and a pizza party to a future soccer match.
Friday is also Cavman’s Crew Night. The first 100 Cavman’s Crew members will receive a voucher for a make-your-own-sundae from Ben & Jerry’s.
