PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Senior Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) posted her second championship in a prestigious national tournament on Sunday, cruising to a straight set victory to claim the Riviera/ITA All-American Championship on Sunday.

Collins defeated Sinead Lohan of Miami 6-1, 6-2 to grab the championship of the event. Just a month earlier, Collins also claimed the championship at the Oracle/ITA Masters tournament in California.

The Cavalier senior posted five consecutive straight-set victories on the way to the title.

Senior Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.) also competed on Sunday, playing in the finals of the consolation draw of the tournament. Elbaba fell to Jasmine Lee of Mississippi Sate by a score of 6-1, 6-4.

The Cavaliers will return to action this week with competition at the ITA Atlantic Regional in Lynchburg, Va. Competition for the ITA Atlantic Regional begins on Thursday, Oct. 15, and will run through Monday, Oct. 19, and will be hosted by Liberty University.
