• QB Matt Johns went 24-of-37 for 234 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
• Johns has at least one touchdown pass in all six games this season.

• RB Taquan Mizzell had a career-high 10 receptions for 69 yards, extending his reception streak to a team-leading 27 games.
• Mizzell (103 career receptions) became the 19th Cavalier to reach 100 career receptions.
• Mizzell reached 100 career receptions in 28 career games, which ranks tied for third fastest among Cavaliers to accomplish the feat.
• Mizzell’s 11-yard touchdown run in regulation and 13-yarder in overtime marked his first career multi-TD game.
• TE Charlie Hopkins tallied his first career touchdown, a 2-yard TD reception from Johns in the fourth quarter

Syracuse Postgame Game Notes

Team Notes
– For the second time in 2015 and 16th time in program history, Syracuse played in a contest that went into overtime. The Orange owns a 9-7 overall record in overtime all-time.
– For only the third time in program history, Syracuse played a contest that went into three overtime periods. SU owns a 2-1 overall record in triple overtime contests. – For the second straight game, Syracuse held an opponent scoreless in the first quarter. – Sophomore safety Antwan Cordy’s fumble return for a touchdown was the third defensive touchdown for the Orange this season, and first fumble returned for a touchdown on the year. Syracuse has recorded seven defensive touchdowns in the last 17 contests.

Individual Notes
– Freshman quarterback Eric Dungey’s 85 rushing yards were a career-high.
– The forced fumble which sophomore safety Antwan Cordy returned for a touchdown was the first-career forced fumble for senior defensive end Donnie Simmons. – Sophomore safety Antwan Cordy’s touchdown was the first of his career, and second-career fumble recovery. – Senior punter Riley Dixon has successfully converted a fake field goal or punt for a first down in three-consecutive games. – Freshman defensive end Qaadir Sheppard’s interception was the first of his career. – Sophomore corner back Corey Winfield recorded his first sack of his career.
– For the fourth straight game, junior hybrid back Ben Lewis recorded multiple receptions. Lewis finished with three receptions for 40 yards.
– Sophomore linebacker Parris Bennett tallied a team-best 13 tackles at Virginia, setting a career-high.
– Sophomore hybrid back Ervin Philips hauled in a 7-yard touchdown reception from Dungey in overtime. It marked his third touchdown reception of his collegiate career, all of which have come this season.
– Freshman running back Jordan Fredericks registered a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. It marked his fourth touchdown of his collegiate career.
