Hoos in Ninth Place after 36 Holes at Landfall Tradition

Wilmington, N.C. – The 14th-ranked Virginia women’s golf team is tied for ninth place after Saturday’s second round of competition at The Landfall Tradition tournament taking place in Wilmington, N.C. The Cavaliers shot 15-over 303 and have a two-day total of 604. Duke leads the 18-team field at 5-under 571.
Senior Lauren Coughlin (Chesapeake, Va.) leads the Hoos at 3-over 147 to figure in 18th place. Senior Elizabeth Szokol (Winnetka, Ill.) is in 36th place at 150 while sophomore Lyberty Anderson (Chesterfield, Va.) is 47th at 153, freshman Morgan Gonzales is 74th at 158 and freshman Katharine Patrick is 78th at 159. Anderson led UVA during the second round with an even par 72.
Notre Dame’s Isabella DiLisio leads the field at 7-under 137.
The final round takes place Sunday with a shotgun start.
