Collins Falls In Consolation Quarterfinals At NIIC

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Senior Danielle Collins (St. Petersburg, Fla.) and the Virginia women’s tennis team closed out fall competition in the National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center on Saturday (Nov. 14).
Collins fell to Catherine Harrison of UCLA 6-2, 6-0 in the quarterfinals of the consolation round.
The weekend event closed out the fall season for the Cavaliers who will return to action with the opening of Atlantic Coast Conference play. Virginia opens conference play on the road at Boston College on Sunday, January 17, 2016.
