Head Coach Joanne Boyle

On the game:
“I’m just excited to get back in the win column. I thought we played a really good second half and really finished the game strong to come out with the win. I was really pleased with our effort in the second half.”

On finishing the game strong:
“They got loose, they hit some threes, but after they hit two I think it was, we really started to lock down defensively. I thought we did a good job there. Then I thought we executed well down the stretch. We used the clock, got good shots, got to the free throw line, and made our free throws so I thought game management down the stretch was much better for us as well.”

On production from Lauren Moses:
“It was big because it takes pressure off of [Sarah Imovbioh]. I told her in the locker room I thought she had one of her best games. She really was complete on both ends of the floor for us tonight.”

Freshman Guard Mikayla Venson

On the halftime thought process:
“Just pick our energy up. We made some mistakes but we couldn’t let that stop us. We only had two turnovers in the second half. So play smart, play continuously aggressive, and just push the ball. We still pushed the ball but didn’t force passes that weren’t there. So we just had to stay poised and continue to play our ball.”

Junior Guard Faith Randolph

On second half aggressive play:
“I felt that we were moving the ball more in the second half, calming down a little bit and getting into our flow. We hit some good shots and got good ball movement.”

On the winning streak against Virginia Tech:
“It is a rivalry and you always want to beat that team next door. Every time when we play Virginia Tech it’s going to be a battle. We know it is an important game, so we come out strong.”
