Former UVA men’s lacrosse captain Mikey Thompson (2007-10) has been named the interim men’s lacrosse head coach at NCAA DIII Christopher Newport. Thompson, a 2011 UVA graduate, started his collegiate coaching career with the Cavaliers for their 2011 NCAA title run as an undergraduate assistant coach.  He went on to play Major League Lacrosse for the Denver Outlaws and began his stint at Christopher Newport as an assistant coach in 2012.
