GAINESVILLE, Fla.-The Virginia women’s track and field team finished action on the first day of the Florida Relays Thursday (March 31) at Pressly Stadium in Gainesville, Fla.
Sophomore Megan Rebholz (Stafford, Va.) and freshman Emily Mulhern (Ijamsville, Md.) placed third and fourth in the 5,000 meters in personal-record times of 16:36.93 and 16:42.24, respectively.
“We went 4-for-4 on personal bests across the men’s and women’s teams to start the meet,” UVA director of track and field/cross country Bryan Fetzer said. “We could not ask for a better beginning. The group is focused and excited to perform. I don’t espect the next two days to be any different.”
Action continues Friday (April 1) at noon. The SEC Network + (via Watch ESPN) will have a live broadcast from 12-4:30 p.m.
