CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The weekend softball series between Virginia (12-25, 2-7 ACC) and Boston College (19-13, 3-3 ACC) has been canceled due to inclement weather that included rain and snow in the Boston area.
The two teams played two innings of game one on Saturday before rain forced the suspension of the series opener. Snow over night on Saturday and continuing into Sunday forced the cancellation of the series with no plans to makeup the three games between the two teams.
Virginia will return to action this weekend, hosting Syracuse in a three-game series at The Park beginning with a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, and concluding with a single game at noon on Sunday, April 10. Admission to all Virginia softball games is free.
It will be the Breast Cancer Awareness day for the Cavaliers during Saturday’s doubleheader with the Orange.
