CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va – The fourth-ranked Virginia rowing team returns to action on Saturday (April 30) at No. 8 Texas. The Cavaliers and Longhorns meet for a session of four races on Walter E. Long Lake in Austin.
Virginia and Texas will race head-to-head in the Second Varsity Four, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Eight and Varsity Eight. The action begins at 9:20 p.m. ET. The regatta was originally scheduled for Lady Bird Lake, but was moved to Long Lake due to increased flow because of heavy rain in the area.
UVA won 12 races at the two-day Clemson Invitational in its last action on April 16-17. UVA’s Varsity Four and Third Varsity Eight boats each went unbeaten at 3-0 during the regatta. The Cavaliers’ Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Four each went 2-1.
The Cavaliers seek their seventh consecutive title at the ACC Championships on May 13-14.
