CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia softball players Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) and Erika Osherow (Darien, Conn.) have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team, the league office announced on Thursday (June 23).

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the all-ACC Academic Team.

Davis, a rising junior, earned All-ACC second team honors this past season after hitting .357 in conference play as the starting centerfielder. She hit .297 on the season as a whole with 24 runs scored, nine doubles, a triple and four home runs. Davis also tallied 20 RBI on the season while going 9-for-13 in steal attempts. She is a commerce major.

Osherow, a rising sophomore, led the Cavaliers’ pitching staff this past season, posting 13 of the squads 18 wins. She tallied a team-leading 3.07 ERA with two shutouts and a save. Osherow struck out 122 batters through 214.2 innings of work and held opponents to a .283 batting average against in her 42 appearances and 30 starts. She pitched 22 complete games. Osherow is a kinesiology major.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
