CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.–The No. 12 Virginia men’s cross country team is set to compete at the Penn State Open Friday (Oct. 14) in University Park, Pa.
The race, which will be 5.2 miles in length, is scheduled to start at 12:15 p.m.
The Cavalier men are ranked No. 12 in the latest Saucony/FloTrack 50 National Poll and No. 19 in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national rankings.
UVA finished third at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational on Sept. 23 at Panorama Farms in Earlysville, Va. Redshirt sophomore Brent Demarest (Charleston, S.C.) crossed the line first for the Cavaliers, finishing 11th overall, while seniors Zach Herriott (Kansas City, Mo.) and Mike Marsella (Hope Valley, R.I.) placed 14th and 15th, respectively.
Next up, the Cavaliers will compete at the ACC Championships Oct. 28 in Cary, N.C.
