HoosvsProsUVAMTennis freshman Carl Söderlund is making a name for himself in the tennis world before even beginning his collegiate playing career. The first-year provided Charlottesville fans a taste of the future this week when he advanced to the second round of the $50,000 Men's Pro Challenger, being held at the Boar's Head Sports Club, by beating a world top-200 player. The ATP World Tour also took notice and wrote this feature that is currently the lead story on the Challenger website. WorldSeriesUVABase head coach Brian O'Connor and members of his staff were on hand at Game 7 of the World Series to cheer on former Cavalier Brandon Guyer. Guyer came off the bench to go 2-2 with a RBI, double, walk and two runs scored. The Cubs, however, went on to win 8-7 in 10 innings.
