#UVAMTennis freshman Carl Söderlund is making a name for himself in the tennis world before even beginning his collegiate playing career. The first-year provided Charlottesville fans a taste of the future this week when he advanced to the second round of the $50,000 Men’s Pro Challenger, being held at the Boar’s Head Sports Club, by beating a world top-200 player. The ATP World Tour also took notice and wrote this feature that is currently the lead story on the Challenger website.

#UVABase head coach Brian O’Connor and members of his staff were on hand at Game 7 of the World Series to cheer on former Cavalier Brandon Guyer. Guyer came off the bench to go 2-2 with a RBI, double, walk and two runs scored. The Cubs, however, went on to win 8-7 in 10 innings.
