Virginia Game Notes No. 2 Seed Virginia 73, No. 3 Seed Miami 68 Friday, March 11, 2016 Team ACC Tournament Notes
- Virginia advanced to the finals of the ACC Tournament for the eighth time in program history
- Virginia advances to play North Carolina; UVA defeated UNC 79-74 on Feb. 27 in the regular season in Charlottesville
- Virginia is 37-60 all-time in the ACC Tournament
- Virginia has scored 41 points off turnovers in two games at the ACC Tournament

- Virginia’s senior class posted its 109th win, tied with the 1984 senior class for second most in program history
- UVA’s 26 wins ranks sixth in school history
- Virginia is 9-11 all-time against Miami, including a 2-1 mark in the ACC Tournament
- UVA head coach Tony Bennett is 6-5 career against Miami
- Virginia shot 53.6 percent in the first half, its best first-half shooting performance since hitting 56.5 percent at Louisville on Jan. 30
- UVA hit 11 of its first 15 field-goal attempts (73.3 percent), but was 4-for-13 the rest of the half
- UVA got 24 points from its bench, its most since the Cavalier reserves scored 30 against Lehigh on Nov. 25
- UVA improved to 77-4 under Tony Bennett when scoring at least 70 points
- UVA forced Miami into 16 turnovers, the Hurricanes’ most since committing 17 against College of Charleston

- Virginia did not trail in the game. It marked the sixth time this year UVA did not trail at any point in a game — William & Mary, Louisville (twice), Boston College, Virginia Tech, Miami
Player Notes
- Now with 1,737 career points, Brogdon is 11th on Virginia’s all-time scoring list
- Brogdon recorded his 17th 20-point game of the season, including his third against Miami
- London Perrantes now has 422 career assists and passed Jontel Evans (2010-13, 419) for eighth in program history
- Darius Thompson’s first-half 3-pointer was his first since his buzzer beater at Wake Forest (Jan. 26)
- Thompson scored six points — his most since a seven-point effort against Notre Dame on Jan. 2
- Marial Shayok scored 10 points, matching his season high against an ACC opponent (Wake Forest); it was his fifth double-figure scoring output of the year
