NCAA Tournament Notes
- Virginia is 26-19 all-time in 20 NCAA Tournament appearances
- Tony Bennett is 7-5 career in five trips to the NCAA Tournament (2008 at Washington State, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016 at Virginia)
- UVa hit 12 3-pointers, its most ever in an NCAA Tournament game
- UVA recorded its largest margin of victory in an NCAA tourney game (36 points), topping a 27-point win over Albany in 2007
- UVA advances to play Butler in a first-ever matchup between the teams

- Anthony Gill scored 19 points, his most since a 21-point effort against Villanova (Dec. 22)
- Gill also added a career-high four assists
- London Perrantes dished out four assists to move into seventh place all-time at UVA with 428 assists
- Marial Shayok scored 10 points, his fifth double-figure output of the season
