Virginia Announces Fall Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team announced its fall scrimmage schedule on Monday (Sept. 25) that will feature five dates, with the team hosting two dates in Charlottesville.
The Cavaliers will play 10 matches total during the month of October. UVA will host Richmond, Elon and Stanford in its two home dates. Road opponents will include JMU, Maryland, Towson, Temple, USC and Penn.
Virginia is on the road for the first three dates, opening at JMU on Oct. 4. The Cavaliers head to College Park, Md. to play Maryland and Towson on Oct. 7 before finishing up road action at Penn against Temple, USC and Penn on Oct. 15.
UVA’s home matches include a scrimmage against Richmond on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at Turf Field. The Cavaliers then host Elon and Stanford for three games on Saturday, Oct. 21 at UVA Lower Turf.
All of the scrimmages are open to the public and fans. This will be the first chance for fans to see the 2018 team that returns 18 letterwinners, including All-Americans Maggie Jackson (Alexandria, Va.) and Kasey Behr (Northport, N.Y.).
