Orischak Leads UVA in Round One at BOT Intercollegiate

Jonesborough, Tenn. – The Virginia men’s golf team is in eighth place after the opening round of play at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The Cavaliers shot 1-under 287 and trail tournament leader Penn State by 10 shots.
UVA was led by sophomore Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.). He posted an opening-round score of 2-under 70 and is in 10th place. Junior Thomas Walsh (High Point, N.C.) is in 20th place at 71 while senior Danny Walker (Bradenton, Fla.) is 28th at 72.
Sophomore Ashton Poole (Charlotte, N.C.) is in 49th place with a 74 while freshman Brandon Yoon (Ashburn, Va.) is 69th after shooting 78. Freshman WeiWei Gao (Cebu, Philippines) is competing as an individual and is in 28th place with a score of even par 72.
