Walsh Leads UVA with 69 During Second Round of BOT

Jonesborough, Tenn. – The Virginia men’s golf team is in 10th place after the second round of play at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The Cavaliers shot 2-over 290 for a two-day total of 1-over 577.
Junior Thomas Walsh (High Point, N.C.) is UVA’s top player after 36 holes. He shot 3-under 69 on Saturday and is 14th overall at 4-under 140. Sophomore Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) dropped back to 39th after shooting 75. His two-day total stands at 1-over 145.
Sophomore Ashton Poole (Charlotte, N.C.) and junior Danny Walker (Bradenton, Fla.) are tied for 47th at 2-over 146 while freshman Brandon Yoon (Ashburn, Va.) is 78th at 155.
Freshman WeiWei Gao (Cebu, Philippines), who is competing as an individual, is in 32nd place at even par 144. He shot 72 for the second consecutive day.
