On getting into the paint:
“When you get into tournament play you have to get to the free throw line, and the only way to get to the free throw line is by getting the ball in the paint. You have to get those touches. I thought we did an okay job of doing that today. We did get to the line 22 times and we needed that. We were struggling to score on offense so getting to the free throw line helped us a little bit.”
On Jocelyn Willoughby’s performance:
“We have talked about how in postseason, sometimes you just have to put your team on your back and go. Down the stretch I thought Jocelyn did a really good job of that. Typically we have a little more balance with scoring, but on any given night it could be anybody and Jocelyn has done it many times. Tonight, I thought she just was really determined to get to the free throw line and the rim. She had a couple of three-point plays. She has grown and grown this season. We needed her tonight and she really stepped up.”
On importance of this tournament for young team:
“The more games you can get in postseason the better, especially for such a young team. We just want to keep play. We have one senior, they love her to death and we want to keep playing together. The more we can play and the further we can go the better, not only to send our senior out on a good note but for our underclassmen to get this much experience.”
