CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Five members of the Virginia women’s soccer team were named to the ACC Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday (Feb. 1).

Senior forward Veronica Latsko (Venetia, Pa.), senior defender Megan Reid (Orinda, Calif.), junior midfielder Betsy Brandon (Littleton, Colo.), sophomore midfielder Zoe Morse (East Lansing, Mich.) and freshman goalkeeper Laurel Ivory (Surfside, Fla.) were named to the team from Virginia. It’s the second selection to the team for Latsko who was named to the team for the first time in the 2016 season.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
