Allison Davis Named to All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia outfielder Allison Davis (Oak Hill, Va.) was named to the All-ACC Academic Softball Team, as announced by the league on Monday (June 25). The selection marks the third-consecutive year on the All-ACC Academic Team for Davis.

Davis earned her degree from UVA’s renowned McIntire School of Commerce in May. As a senior, she appeared in all 53 games for the Cavaliers, leading the team in batting average (.365), hits (65), home runs (11) and runs batted in (40).

The award is the third of the season for Davis, who garnered second team All-ACC and All-Region recognition. She becomes the fifth Cavalier to earn three selections to the All-ACC Academic Team. 

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team. 

The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
