Virginia Announces 2018 Fall Ball Schedule

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s lacrosse team has set its 2018 Fall Ball schedule that will include six dates during the month of October.
 
The schedule includes five home games, highlighted by a matchup with UVA alumni for the first time. The Cavaliers will open fall play with a scrimmage against Richmond on Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
 
UVA will then host Alumni Weekend with a game against the alumni at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12. Saturday, Oct. 13 will be round-robin play against Elon and High Point beginning at 11 a.m.
 
The defending national champions, JMU will come to town for a scrimmage on Wednesday, Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. opening draw before UVA travels to Penn on Sunday, Oct. 17. Virginia closes out the fall training schedule at home against William & Mary on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m.
 
All home games will be played at Lower Turf Field. The scrimmages will be open to the public. UVA returns 25 players that saw action a year ago, including leading-scorer Sammy Mueller (Pelham, N.Y.).
