World Champion Hoo (again)

WAHOOWA and huge congratulations to former #UVAWBB All-American Dawn Staley. Staley, as the head coach of the US Women’s Basketball team, helped guide the U.S. to an unprecedented third straight World Cup gold medal on Sunday night with the 73-56 win over Australia. The gold medal guarantees Team USA a spot in the 2020 Olympic games. Staley also becomes the first to win a @FIBA World Cup gold as a player and as a coach. Malcolm Moran of the New York Times celebrated the accomplishment by tweeting the link to an archived 1991 profile he wrote profiling the then Cavalier point guard.
