Tar Heel Invitational Next Stop for UVA Golfers

Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the 43rd annual Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The three-day tournament will run Friday through Sunday at the university's par-72, 6,379-yard Finley Golf Course.

Charlottesville, Va. – The Virginia women’s golf team returns to action this weekend at the 43rd annual Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C. The three-day tournament will run Friday through Sunday at the university’s par-72, 6,379-yard Finley Golf Course.
 
The 18-team field includes Arkansas, Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Furman, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, NC State, North Carolina, Ohio State, Rollins, South Carolina, Tulane, UNCW, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Wake Forest.
 
Single rounds are scheduled Friday (shotgun start at noon), Saturday (first tee times at 8:51 a.m.) and Sunday (shotgun start at 9:15 a.m.). UVA is paired with South Carolina and Vanderbilt during the first round.
 
Virginia’s lineup for this year’s tournament features senior’s Katharine Patrick (Houston, Texas), Morgan Gonzales (Chandler, Ariz.) and Anna Redding (Concord, N.C.) and junior Julia Ford (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and sophomore Beth Lillie (Fullerton, Calif.). Redding finished sixth at last year’s tournament, shooting 9-under 207.
