CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  – The second half of Atlantic Coast Conference action begins with a four-match road trip, as Virginia (6-14, 2-8 ACC) travels to Duke (11-8, 5-5 ACC) on Friday, Oct. 26 for a 6:30 p.m. first serve. The Cavaliers will continue on to face Wake Forest on Sunday, Oct. 28 in a 1 p.m. start.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.  – The second half of Atlantic Coast Conference action begins with a four-match road trip, as Virginia (6-14, 2-8 ACC) travels to Duke (11-8, 5-5 ACC) on Friday, Oct. 26 for a 6:30 p.m. first serve. The Cavaliers will continue on to face Wake Forest (8-14, 3-7 ACC) on Sunday, Oct. 28 in a 1 p.m. start.

VIRGINIA VS. DUKE
Virginia and Duke will meet for the 66th time on Friday night. The Blue Devils hold a 52-13 advantage in the all-time series.
• The Cavaliers’ last victory over Duke came in 2015, a 3-1 win on the road.
• Duke has won 21 of the past 22 meetings dating back to 2005.
 
VIRGINIA VS. WAKE FOREST
• Sunday’s match marks the 50th all-time meeting between the Cavaliers and Demon Deacons.
• Virginia holds a 26-23 edge in the series.
• Wake Forest has captured the last three meetings in the series.
• The last two meetings have both gone to five sets.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• Virginia pushed then No. 21 Louisville into a five-set showdown on Friday night, but came up short in the upset bid. The Cavaliers then dropped a 3-1 decision to Notre Dame to close the weekend.
• Sarah Billiard (Matthews, N.C.) led the Hoos with 24 kills on the weekend, extending her double-digit kill streak to eight straight games. The sophomore has now finished in double digits in 18 of 20 matches this season.
 
A FRIENDLY SCHEDULE
• The Cavaliers head down the stretch with a beneficial schedule as each of their remaining eight opponents sit at or below .500 in ACC matches.
• Friday night’s contest at Duke marks the lone .500 foe left on the schedule as the Hoos look to finish strong in ACC action.
• Six of Virginia’s eight ACC losses have come at the hands of the top six teams in the league standings.
 
SPENCER PROVIDING SPARK
•Sophomore outside hitter Alex Spencer (North Canton, Ohio) has proven a versatile piece for Virginia throughout the season and provided two of her best matches over the weekend.
• She fell one kill shy of a double-double against No. 21 Louisville (9 K, 11 D) before recording her first double-double of the season against Notre Dame (11 K, 14 D). The double-double is the ninth of Spencer’s career.
• She has also recorded double-digit digs in six of the last seven matches.
