Women’s Singles Bracket | Women’s Doubles Bracket | Tournament Central

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –Senior Meghan Kelley (Falmouth, Maine) and freshman Sofia Munera (Pereira, Colombia) will close out the fall portion of the season this week, representing the Virginia women’s tennis team at the Oracle ITA Fall National Championships.

Competition begins on Wednesday (Nov. 7) at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Az. The round of 64 women’s singles play begins at 10 a.m. ET, while the doubles competition begins after the conclusion of singles play.
 
Kelly will face Chiara Tomasetti of Northern Arizona in singles. In doubles action, Kelley and Munera will face the doubles pairing of Mia Horvit and Ingrid Gamarra-Martins of South Carolina. 

Kelley and Munera earned an automatic bid to the event as a doubles team by winning the ITA Atlantic Regional earlier this fall, while Kelley received an at-large bid to the event in singles after advancing to the semifinals of the ITA Atlantic Regional.

The 2018 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships serves as the culminating event of the fall portion of the collegiate tennis season. The national tournament features 128 of the nation’s top collegiate singles players (64 men and 64 women) and 64 doubles teams (32 men’s teams and 32 women’s teams). In its second year, having replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships is the lone event on the collegiate tennis calendar to feature competitors from all five divisions (NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and JUCO) playing in the same tournament.
