Long Victorious at Henley Royal Regatta

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.— Virginia senior Heidi Long (Buckinghamshire, England) claimed the Hambleden Challenge Cup at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta on the Thames in England.
 
Long, a two-time All-ACC selection, teamed with Hannah Scott to win the women’s pair championship race in a time of 8:00.
 
Long and Scott posted the win by 3/4 length over Great Britain’s senior tandem of Rowan McKellar and Harriet Taylor, who won the bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup II in Linz Ottensheim, Austria.
