Seven Cavaliers Earn ITA All-Academic Honors

Aswin Lizen, Henrik Wiersholm, Carl Soderlund, Spencer Bozsik, Ethan Moszkowski, Jerome Romualdez and Gianni Ross all earned ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athlete honors

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Seven Virginia men’s tennis players were named 2019 ITA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes in honors announced Thursday (July 18) by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
 
Seniors Aswin Lizen (Douglas, Isle of Man) and Henrik Wiersholm (Kirkland, Wash.), junior Carl Soderlund (Stockholm, Sweden), and sophomores Spencer Bozsik (Charlottesville, Va.), Ethan Moszkowski (New York, N.Y.), Jerome Romualdez (Manila, Philippines) and Gianni Ross (Chicago, Ill.) earned the distinction.
 
Additionally, the Cavaliers earned the All-Academic Team award for posting a team GPA of 3.20 or higher.

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
