CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s soccer team played its final exhibition match of the preseason on Sunday (Aug. 18) afternoon, taking a 3-0 victory over the Richmond United Developmental Academy U14 Boys Team at Klöckner Stadium.

Virginia got on the board in the 59th minute when freshman Talia Staude (Atlanta, Ga.) slipped a ball in off a corner from sophomore Ashlynn Serepca (Cornelius, N.C.). The Cavaliers added a second goal in the 73rd minute when sophomore Rebecca Jarrett (Washington Township, N.J.) took a pass in stride from sophomore Alexa Spaanstra (Brighton, Mich.) and sent it across the face of the goal in past the far post.
 
The Cavaliers’ third goal came from freshman Diana Ordonez (Prosper, Texas) in the 76th minute off a pass from junior Taryn Torres (Frisco, Texas) at the center of the box. 

Virginia will open its season on Friday, hosting UC Irvine in a 7 p.m. match at Klöckner Stadium. It is the first of two matches on the weekend for the Cavaliers who will also face Liberty at 2 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 25).

Season and single-game tickets are on sale now. Season tickets provide the best value with general admission tickets available for $20 ($15 university staff) and include either men’s or women’s home games. For all regular season home games, reserved single-game tickets can be purchased for $8 online and in advance, and $10 at the box office on game day. General admission single-game tickets are $5 online and in advance, and $8 at the box office on game day.
 
Soccer season tickets are only available for delivery either as mobile or print-at-home, however upon request and in person only including at the game day ticket office an option for point-of-sale paper stock printing is available for $10 per account.  Fans are encouraged to take advantage of discounted single game pricing by purchasing tickets in advance and using mobile ticketing options or printing their tickets at home.
