National Championship Celebration Presented by UVA Health System Set for Saturday at Scott Stadium

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – The NCAA National Championship Celebration, presented by the UVA Health System, is set for Saturday (April 13) at Scott Stadium at 2 p.m.
The celebration will honor Virginia’s first national championship in men’s basketball. The Cavaliers finished the season with a school-record 35 wins and also won a share of the school’s ninth ACC regular-season championship.
The West, Southwest and East Gates at Scott Stadium will be used for the celebration event and open at 12:30 p.m. The program will begin at 2 p.m. and will take place rain or shine. Parking is free on a first come, first serve basis in the lots surrounding Scott Stadium, Fontaine and the E1 Lot off Alderman Road. Admission to the event is free and seating will be open on the west side of Scott Stadium.
The first 25,000 fans at Saturday’s national championship celebration at Scott Stadium will receive a free commemorative poster. Virginia Athletics thanks UVA Community Credit Union, Worth Higgins & Associates, Harris Teeter, Ting and United Bank for sponsoring the commemorative poster. Free Pepsi products and Aquafina will also be provided and complimentary rally towels courtesy of UVA Community Credit Union will be distributed while supplies last. The clear bag policy and entry procedures in place for all home basketball and football games will be in place for Saturday’s event. Concession stands and restrooms on the west side of the stadium will be open and fans will have the opportunity to purchase merchandise, including NCAA championship and Final Four apparel.
