Forever a Bear

Before #UVAMBB All-American Kyle Guy was earning accolades such as NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player, he was named Mr. Indiana Basketball for his accomplishments while playing at Larence Central High School. His alma mater has posted the Sports Illustrated cover featuring Guy on its front entrance, showing their pride in the former Bear. Taylor Tannebaum of Indianapolis’ WTHR caught up with Kyle’s high school coach before the Final Four. The report includes some great footage of Guy’s high school playing days.

Head Hoo

Congratulations to former #UVAWBB All-American Tammi Reiss who has been named the head coach at Rhode Island. Reiss was a four-year starter for the Hoos and also spent four years as an assistant coach before beginning a WNBA playing career in 1997. Reiss has spent the last four years as an assistant coach at Syracuse.
