Virginia Set for 2021 NCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 1 Virginia women’s swimming & diving heads to the 2021 NCAA Championships that run March 17-20 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.
HOW TO FOLLOW
Live championship coverage will air on ESPN3 for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. ESPNU will air a two-hour show at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, April 6. Links for live results and the live stream are available on VirginiaSports.com.
MEET FORMAT
Wednesday will be the 800-yard freestyle relay finals at 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday will begin with prelims in the morning at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
HOOS IN THE RANKINGS
- Paige Madden (Mobile, Ala.) enters the meet with the top times in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle and 1650-yard freestyle.
- Kate Douglass (Pelham, N.Y.) leads the NCAA in the 50-yardd freestyle and 100-yard freestyle and is second in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Alex Walsh (Nashville, Tenn.) enters with the top time in the 200-yard individual medley and is eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Ella Nelson (Nashville, Tenn.) is second in the NCAA in the 400-yard individual medley, fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke and sixth in the 200-yard individual medley.
- Alexis Wenger (Detroit, Mich.) is third in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Lexi Cuomo (Clifton, Va.) has the fourth-fastest time in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Abby Harter (Broadlands, Va.) ranks eighth in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Jocelyn Porter (Cornelius, N.C.) earned a spot in all three diving events at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships.
