CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 3 Virginia hosts the UVA Invite on Friday and Saturday, March 26-27 at Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Va.

The Cavaliers welcome No. 9 Tennessee, No. 11 Duke, North Carolina and UCF to  the two-day event that will feature evening racing on Friday and morning and afternoon racing on Saturday.

Virginia will have five crews (Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four and Third Varsity Eight) competing against No. 10 Duke on Friday night and No. 9 Tennessee on Saturday morning. In addition, UVA’s Fourth and Fifth Varsity Eight boats will race against UCF on Friday night.

Virginia’s race schedule on Friday (March 26) evening begins with the Third Varsity Eight at 5 p.m. The Cavaliers’ morning schedule on Saturday starts with the Varsity Eight at 9 a.m.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans will not be allowed to attend home regattas at the Rivanna Reservoir boathouse.

The Cavaliers opened the season by winning all 15 of their races at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite on March 13-14. UVA’s Varsity Eight earned ACC Crew of the Week honors after winning all three of its races at the regatta.
