No. 3 Virginia to Race B1G Foes in Columbus

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – No. 3 Virginia travels to Columbus, Ohio, for the B1G/ACC Regatta on Saturday (April 3) at the Griggs Reservoir.

The Cavaliers will compete against No. 6 Ohio State. No. 7 Michigan, No. 18 Minnesota and Michigan State in the event.

Virginia will have five crews (Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, Second Varsity Four and Third Varsity Eight) competing against the Buckeyes, Golden Gophers, Wolverines and Spartans on Saturday morning.

UVA’s race schedule on Saturday begins with the Varsity Eight against Ohio State and Minnesota at 8 a.m. The Cavaliers’ racing schedule concludes with the Third Varsity Eight against Michigan and Michigan State at 11:40 a.m.

Virginia’s races against Ohio State and Minnesota will be live streamed on the Buckeyes’ Instagram account (ohiostatewrow), while its races against Michigan and Michigan State will be live streamed on the Wolverines’ Instagram account (umichrowing).

Final results at the end of each day will be published on VirginiaSports.com.

The Cavaliers claimed four wins against then-No. 11 Duke and three wins against then-No. 9 Tennessee at the UVA Invite on March 26-27. Virginia’s Varsity Four earned ACC Crew of the Week honors by winning both of its races by more than five seconds.
