Emily Woodworth and Giovanna Veiga de Almeida have both earned the prestigious honor from the Department of Psychology

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Graduating seniors  Giovanna Veiga de Almeida (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) and Emily Woodworth (Weston, Mass.) were both selected to receive this year’s Frank W. Finger Undergraduate Prize in Psychology as announced Saturday (May 22) by UVA’s Department of Psychology.

The prize is awarded to a graduating Psychology major for academic excellence and athletic accomplishments or other substantial extracurricular activities.

This was the first time that the prize was awarded to two students in one year.
