Godfrey, Sieracki Named CoSIDA Academic All-District
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia women’s soccer players Lia Godfrey and Lizzy Sieracki have been named CoSIDA Academic All-District first-team selections it was announced by the organization (College Sports Information Directors of America) with the release of the annual teams.
Both student-athletes are eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors by virtue of being selected as All-District team members. Sieracki earned All-District recognition for the second consecutive season.
The 2021 Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be considered, nominees must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 for their career, have competed in at least 50 percent of the season at their position of nomination and must have completed one full calendar year at the institution.
