GREENSBORO, N.C. – Virginia had four swimmers in action on the final day of the 2021 Toyota US Open at the Greensboro Aquatic Center on Saturday.

Jack Aikins advanced to the A Final of the 200-meter backstroke and improved his time from prelims by a second to finish sixth in 2:02.42.

Noah Nichols had the second-fastest time in the 200-meter breaststroke in prelims, finishing in 2:17.38. Nichols did not swim in the finals despite qualifying for the A Final.

In the 100-meter freestyle, August Lamb finished 19th with a time of 51.72 and Jan Karolczak was 28th in 53.03.

Virginia’s Emma Weyant and Kate Douglass, along with associate head coach Blaire Bachman, will travel to the FINA Short Course World Championships December 16-21 in Abu Dhabi.
