CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia (12-8, 6-4 ACC) led for 39 minutes of game time and held a 19-point lead over Louisville (11-9, 5-5 ACC) in the first half as the Cavaliers defeated the Cardinals 64-52 at John Paul Jones Arena Monday night.

THE GAME BALL GOES TO:
Kihei Clark. Clark scored at least 15 points for the third time this season, just two points shy of his season high. Clark has now scored in double figures in nine of Virginia’s 20 games so far this season. He shot 6-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-7 from downtown. His six made field goals and three 3-pointers tied his season highs in both categories. Clark’s final three of the night with just 35 seconds remaining in Monday’s contest capped UVA’s late 8-0 run, which erased any possibility of the Cardinals mounting a comeback.
