We love to see this! @UVAWomensSoccer legend Morgan Brian, now Morgan Gautrat, back with the USWNT. The squad is currently preparing for the SheBelieves Cup, taking place on Feb. 17 and 20 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. and Feb. 23 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Gautrat was a member of the USA’s 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup championship teams and was also on the 2016 Olympic Team, but was not a member of the 2020 Olympic squad. She was a late add to the roster for the tournament.

Technically Pongo is not a student-athlete, but we are claiming him for a day. The Dalmatian, who has been renamed Finn, is competing in this weekend’s Puppy Bowl. He was adopted by Frankie Szynskie, the event coordinator at the University of Virginia’s Morven Farm property, which is why we at the Shout and Roar blog are making him an honorary Hoo.
