CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia women’s soccer team released its 2022 schedule today (June 9) with a slate that features 12 home games at Klöckner Stadium, including five games against ACC opponents.

As a part of the full 18-game schedule, the Cavaliers will face nine teams that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last season, including eight games against teams that advanced to at least the second round and a home game against reigning NCAA Champion Florida State.

“We are looking forward to getting back on the field this fall especially in front of our fans at Klockner Stadium,”  said Virginia head coach Steve Swanson. “The 2022 schedule is exciting given the amount of home games we have and given the incredible competition we will face throughout the season. It is shaping up to be another great season of women’s college soccer with more teams than ever and even more parity within the conferences and around the country.”

The Cavaliers open the season with seven-of-eight non-conference games at home, beginning with George Mason (Aug. 18) and Loyola Marymount (Aug. 21) before playing the lone non-conference game on the road at Georgetown (Aug. 25). Virginia then hosts Fairleigh Dickinson (Aug. 28), JMU (Sept. 1), Memphis (Sept. 4), Oregon State (Sept. 8) and VCU (Sept. 11).

In conference play, the Cavaliers begin on the road and play games at North Carolina (Sept. 17), Notre Dame (Sept. 22), Duke (Sept. 30), Virginia Tech (Oct. 14) and Miami (Oct. 27). Virginia will host ACC foes Louisville (Sept. 25), Florida State (Oct. 6), Syracuse (Oct. 9), Wake Forest (Oct. 20) and NC State (Oct. 23).

Broadcast designations, including matches on ACC Network, will be posted to VirginiaSports.com once announced by the ACC and ESPN. Start times are subject to change based on broadcast selections.

Ticket information will be announced at a later date.
