After Bowling Green equalized in the 29th minute, Virginia struck twice in the final five minutes of the opening 45 as Ahlander and Leo Afonso each tallied goals to give UVA a 3-1 lead going into the half.
Andy Sullins slammed the door shut in the late stages of the game. After drawing a foul inside the area for a penalty kick, the freshman forward delivered from the spot himself. Just two minutes later, Kome Ubogu connected with Sullins to put the finishing touch on a 5-1 win.
