CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Chloe Japic, a rising senior and member of the Virginia women’s soccer team, is the latest Cavalier to get a call up to international duty as she was selected for the roster of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Women’s “A” National Team.

Japic will compete with the She-Dragons in a pair of friendlies. The squad will face Serbia on Friday, Feb. 17, and then face Morocco on Tuesday, Feb. 21. The matches will be played in Antalya, Turkey.

The Cavalier is no stranger to service with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national teams as she has previously had experience with the nation’s U15, U17 and U19 squads. She will be joined in the experience by her sister, Sydney, who is a rising sophomore at Alabama. The pair are the only U.S. collegiate players competing for the squad.

Japic played in 19 games for the Hoos this past fall, tallying a pair of assists through her nearly 600 minutes of action. Her assists came on the opening goal of the season against George Mason and again in a match with Oregon State. She helped the Cavaliers advance to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships.
