Still Posts a Pair of Personal Bests on Day One of Texas Relays
AUSTIN, Texas –Alix Still opened competition in the heptathlon for the Cavaliers at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Wednesday (March 29) finishing the first day of competition at Mike A. Myers Stadium in 10th place with 3,269 points. The final three events to be contested tomorrow (March 30) include the long jump, javelin and 800 meters.
Still competed in the combined events for the first time since making an appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships following a stellar indoor campaign. The Scotland native started the outdoor campaign on the right foot as she posted a personal best in the 100 meter hurdles clocking a time of 13.75, a time that moves Still into sixth on the Virginia all-time performance list.

In the high jump competition, Still cleared a height of 1.65 meters (5’5”) before posting a mark of 10.74 meters (35’3”) in the shot put to give her a total of 2,387 points after the first three events.
Still ended the first day of competition in the heptathlon with another personal-best performance. This time in the 200 meters. Still raced to a third-place finish in her heat clocking 25.05 picking up another 882 points to put her total at 3,269. The total score puts Still in 10th place overall after the first four events of the heptathlon.
