CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Virginia attackers Ashlyn McGovern and Rachel Clark were named ILWomen Midseason All-Americans, Inside Lacrosse announced on Friday.

McGovern and Clark are tied for the team lead in points, both with 44 points through UVA’s first 11 games. The duo has led the Cavaliers in scoring in nine of the 11 contests and scored at least one point in every game this season.

McGovern, a third team selection, leads the ACC and is fifth in the NCAA with 41 goals this season. She has double-digit goals in 10 of the 11 games and hat tricks in eight of those. McGovern is also second in the ACC with 1.00 free position goals per game. The graduate student matched her career-high with seven goals in the win over Clemson. That also ties for seventh-most goals in a game in UVA history.

Clark, an honorable mention selection, is fourth in the ACC with 36 goals this season. She leads the ACC in free position percentage (.818) and is fourth in free position goals per game (.820). Clark has scored double-digit goals in eight contests with seven hat tricks. The sophomore leads UVA with four game-winning goals on the year. Clark also has eight assists for the Cavaliers.
