Men’s Basketball Signs Anthony Robinson to NLI
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Dean and Markel Families Men’s Head Basketball Coach Tony Bennett announced Monday (May 1) the addition of Anthony Robinson (Peachtree City, Ga./Christ School) to the Cavaliers’ program.
Robinson has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Cavaliers for the 2023-24 season.
“We are excited to add Anthony to our basketball program,” Bennett said. “He has good size, strength and physicality. Anthony is a hard worker with great upside. He and his family value a degree from the University of Virginia.”
Robinson is a 6-10, 238-pound forward/center who averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2.0 blocks for Christ School (Arden, N.C.) in 2022-23. Christ School won the NCISAA 4A state championship and finished with a 31-4 record. Robinson helped Christ School to a 16-8 record in 2021-22.
“I chose Virginia because it’s a great program with great culture,” Robinson said. “The coaches are great and are invested in my development and I’m excited to see what the future holds. I like the emphasis on academics and the Grounds are beautiful. Plus, the basketball facilities are world class!”
